Re-watching the Truman Show movie also shows this problem. My point is that if the show was finalized on film from the get go. We'd be getting the same CGI without question. That's what I want. If it still exists, use it. Just fix and smooth out the models.

Re: Star Trek Enterprise Season 2 Blu-rays – Revised Cover Art

Why are the nacelles on the NX01 on the S2 set wrongly coloured?

Re: Star Trek Enterprise Season 2 Blu-rays – Revised Cover Art

OMG this is great. This is what Season 1 should of been. They satisfied me from dropping the ship artwork in the poll choices. We have already seen new CGI models used for TNG, I'd hope to see more of the same for DS9.

Re: Star Trek Enterprise Season 2 Blu-rays – Revised Cover Art

What an improvement! It's interesting though that the Wiki page says it was produced in 1080p, but broadcast in 720p. But that doesn't seem likely. If they aren't releasing it in 1080p it would have to be that the original wasn't in that format.

Re: Deep Space Nine in High Definition: One Step Closer?

Maybe even in the far reaches of the Delta Quadrant B'Elanna Torres can match paint.

Re: EXCLUSIVE: Interview with “The Inner Light” writer Morgan Gendel, Part I

I didn't get the sequels bit. They did do sequels. The Naked Now was a sequel to The Naked Time from TOS. And they repeatedly revisited Lore and Soong. And they kept revisiting the Klingon saga with Worf's Discommendation and Redemption. Those stories were sequels. And the last episode is a sequel to the first.

Re: EXCLUSIVE: Interview with “The Inner Light” writer Morgan Gendel, Part I

Yeah. But when you think about it. Why would you make a probe that self destructs and sends to only one person. What would of happend if the probe was scanned by Romulans or other races that wouldn't of cared? And, they still die off. When Picard does... It was the only thing that got me bugged.

You could also use it as a weapon. It cut through the ship's defenses :P.

Re: Best of Both Worlds Expanded Soundtrack – Lukas Kendall (Producer) Interview

There were some tracks that skipped. One of my few complaints with TNG is that the stand-alone nature of the episode prevented some good character development. Picard should have been mentally messed up after this episode, but in the subsequent episodes he seems pretty much like Picard.

Re: Best of Both Worlds Expanded Soundtrack – Lukas Kendall (Producer) Interview

"we corrected a few glitches while remastering"...just curious, what were the glitches?

Re: UPDATED: Expanded “The Best of Both Worlds” Soundtrack News

Hi Yotsuyasan - you can check out Lukas' interview here: http://trekcore.com/blog/2013/...

Re: Deep Space Nine in High Definition: One Step Closer?

Because we get that when movies in the 90's are remastered. We are still getting the old CGI stuff from that. Those things no longer hold up either. Twister has some obvious CGI. People just want things as close to 100% as it was.

Re: Best of Both Worlds Expanded Soundtrack – Lukas Kendall (Producer) Interview

I love Ron Jones music so much. But I'm not bashing the original show, I'm just saying that if they are going to reproduce it to more than four times the original resolution it would be a really bad decision to leave in all of the original 1990's meshes.

I'm surprised anyone would disagree with that to be honest.

Re: EXCLUSIVE: Interview with “The Inner Light” writer Morgan Gendel, Part I

You never know!!

Re: EXCLUSIVE: Interview with “The Inner Light” writer Morgan Gendel, Part I

I'd love to have Peter Allan Fields (who co-wrote the episode) in a commentary as well, and perhaps Peter Lauritson who directed it. Peter Allan Fields also said the episode ran long and they had to take out seven minutes -- see http://en.memory-alpha.org/wik... -- so it might be a good one for the CBS folks to check into those deleted scenes, if they aren't already doing so.
